Fwd: a must must-read story…for 2009

If you are one of those who don't like to read, please don't stop reading…for this is a must must-read forward… don't stop… there's something really important … If you stop now, you'll miss something for sure… ok, now quickly to the story – Once upon a time there lived a beetle.. no, not the Volkswagen beetle… the cute crawling insect that looks like the Volkswagen beetle without the wheels. And there was not just one. There were families. In groups. A whole colony was there. And they all liked 'The Beatles', the 60s rock and pop band. Because they lived between the walls of 'the Retro' bar of Hilton Paris hotel that sits in the shadow of Eiffel Tower in Paris. These beetles didn't know when a day started or ended… They didn't have any concept of time. But they clearly knew when a New Year started. Jerry, the hero of our story is a ladybird(or should it be the heroine of our story) that looked just like the logo of Ladybird books; bright red with black spots. The walls had two small openings in the size of a pencil rubber. One lead to the retro bar and the other went all the way to the kitchen. These beetles lived on the cabbage leftovers from the kitchen and had a social life in the retro bar. In fact, Jerry once had a scary worm's eye view of Paris Hilton's legs and got very confused between Hilton Paris, the hotel and Paris Hilton, the model. Jerry and his friends used to come to the bar once in a while and shake a leg together to the 'Help' song by Beatles. The bar manager, the DJ, the guests who came there, the whole human race didn't know these little guys existed way down below their elbows. The life of the beetle was pretty much just like ours. The steamroller of daily existence - hunting for left-over cabbages, daily blows of egos on who's got better spots, eating, sleeping and occasionally dancing at the Retro bar. For some strange reason the Retro bar didn't attract the young and the restless generation during the New year's eve. So they decided to play John Digweed, Moby, Bob Sinclair kind of dinjack dinjack songs on the night before the New Year. So for the beetles, the only time they heard dance music and remixes it was psychologically the end of one long day or one long cycle and a beginning of another new one. On that night, every year, Jerry and his friends had a rocking time head banging and dancing amidst freshly waxed, long, sexy legs. They looked like miniature Volkswagen Beetles jumping like those jumping cars we see in rap videos. And it happened this year too. But this year something strange happened just after the party got over. When Jerry returned to the great wall, he found every beetle(around forty of them) reading a book. They all turned their heads towards Jerry in sync with a wide grin. And they all had the same book with a bright yellow cover. The book was titled 'How to cheat and still don't harm people?'.This is exactly where the story ends. (now imagine me with a gleeful smile). I just made this up. I just wrote this mad, stupid story and made the title of the blog look like an interesting forward. I just wanted your time. And I want your time this year and every new year. And just one more thing. Drum rolls please. Happy New Year! from Sajan who likes to own the real Volkswagen Beetle sometime in the future.
